Founder & Instructor
Originally from North Carolina and a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Catherine trained professionally in various ballet companies in the United States including American Ballet Theatre in New York, Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle and Houston Ballet, and at the National Hungarian Ballet in Budapest. She ultimately danced professionally as a member of Ballett Zürich at the Opernhaus Zürich in Switzerland. After her tenure at Ballett Zürich, Catherine attended Columbia University where she earned a bachelors degree in the History and Theory of Architecture. She continued to dance during her time at Columbia and was featured in a PBS Documentary, “The Choreographer”. Catherine is happy to rejoin the ballet world, eager to pass on the many lessons she’s learned throughout her dancing career. She lives in Williamsburg with her husband, two year old son, and grumpy but lovable old dog.
